MI Reporting Project Manager

Project manage in-house analysis, development and test teams to deliver and integrate the Management information requirements within a new workflow solution which is being implemented.
Work w! ith the Client Selection Senior Project Manager and Development Manager and with the Topaz team to understand the requirements and draw up a framework for delivery of the solution which will be tracked through Rational Team Concert
Work directly with the Workflow PM to integrate the MI solution within the workflow tool
Work with the Client Project manager and the various product development teams to ensure the specific data required for production of the MI is made available
Work with the Data Warehouse and ETL development leads/PMs and Data Architect to deliver a scalable data warehouse to support extensive reporting requirements
Work directly with the Dynamic Dashboard PM to ensure interactive reporting requirements can be delivered in a performant, maintainable manner, applying stringent data and user security controls.
Implement a globally consistent business user support model
Ensure full adherence to Compliance and! IT Security regulations and guidelines
Work with the! Test team to develop automated regression and stress test solutions
Build relationships with internal stakeholders
Co-ordinate user training services
Project planning and control (Agile) within agreed high-level programme of work to effectively manage project resources using group standards tools
Facilitate and chair regular project meetings with IT and business
Communicate effective and frequent progress status updates for senior IT management
This role will require excellent relationship management skills within a business facing and IT environment to successfully manage expectations and communication across a wide range of interested parties and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Excellent understanding of Management information solutions
Good understanding of workflow tools and their usage
Good understanding of Global Investment Banking & Markets business
Good understanding of ! technical issues rolling out /supporting services across over 40+ countries from installation and desktop support to production support and incident management
Business analysis skills
Defining consistent project communication policy for business and for other project workstreams
Ability to influence other groups out of immediate domain to achieve project objectives without always having the required authority. However, choosing escalation paths when appropriate.
Experience line managing staff across multiple IT disciplines
Proven project management experience of implementing an MI solution within a financial services environment
Project management experience on global application development / implementation projects.
Project management experience on in-house development and 3rd party projects covering all stages of the development process from specification and design, build and test through to implementation ! and training.
Agile project management methodology (iterative ! development, burn charts, retrospectives etc.)
Previous experience with hands-on, day-to-day management of analysts, developers and test teams.
Comfortable liaising with Server architecture IT teams
Full understanding of Compliance and IT Security implications attached to storage of highly restricted, price sensitive data
Project management qualifications (e.g. Agile ScrumMaster)
Familiarity with HSBC Risk-Based Project Management (RBPM)
Working with offshore development + test teams to ensure deliverables fulfil business requirements and quality levels
Project management experience of Data Warehousing based reporting solutions (understanding of Data Warehouse principles)
Exposure to data transformation services (e.g. IBM Infosphere Information Server)
Strong knowledge of reporting presentation (Qlikview dashboard, COGNOS, preferred) and testing technologies
Usability design
I! nnovative and independent thinker
Experience of implementing IBM BPM / Case manager and / or other workflow tools is an advantage
