Key components of the Financial Controller role:
Ultimately, we need you to be the key link within the Network Services Division. You'll be a business partner, a decision maker, a mentor and a controller! It's an autonomous environment with strong, supportive and creative people around you, an environment where you need to manage costs but also add value commercially.
Day to day…..
- Month end reporting and analysis of SNS Network Costs, including presentation of results and agreeing any actions to be taken with operational stakeh! olders.
- Budgeting and forecasting of the SNS network ! costs by close contact with SNS operation teams and procurement, reviewing and presenting budget slides and analysis to support the submission.
- Review and support any Deal Memos and Business cases for large supplier deals and capex projects. Input into investment decisions taken by the company, assessing business plans to ensure they meet operational targets efficiently. Presentation of plans for approval by senior stakeholders, to CFO level.
- Ownership of the relationship with key operational contacts by setting financial targets, and ensuring monthly tracking and validation of performance.
- Sit on the Sky Network Services Executive Group; providing financial support and challenge on projects and initiatives within the Network.
This role requires the successful candidate to:
- Build strong working relationships with other departments within Sky! Especially Commercial Finance, Treasury, Tax and! Legal in order to ensure an efficient and effective sharing of knowledge, and to continue to develop the reporting processes.
- Demonstrate excellent technical accounting ability and accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, etc)
