I require an editor for an immediate start on a documentary.
This is a self-funded project of mine so I am sorry but I cannot offer pay for the work.
T! he material to be edited is mainly interview footage with people who work in the 'arts' industries; music, theatre, film, etc.
As I am undertaking this project with a view to create an educational tool for others I have been very lucky in getting interviews with some very big names in these industries. They are extremely interesting interviews and deal, in-depth, with many of the technical aspects of these industries.
This is a great opportunity for a dedicated, creative editor. You will of course have your name on the finished work and a copy to add to your showreel or portfolio.
I am also open to applications from anyone with expertise that could help develop this project. So sound-editors, web designers... anything. If you can help out I am always keen to help others enhance their portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to the senior store management team on all matters relating to Health and Safety, to help achieve and maintain all relevant legal, company and operational compliances.

Ensure all contractors and their respective activities are operating in compliance with Burberry safety standards and policies, this may involve occasional weekend and out of hours working.

Provide support and advice during store event productions, ensuring all safety standards are in place and maintained.

Business Continuity: Ensure incident escalation store procedures, emergency plans and equipment are in place and always ready for use. To be the point of contact for cascade of information about potential incidents .

Sustainability: Partner with regional and corporate teams to promote, encourage, and deliver sustainability initiatives to the store teams.

Sustainability: Wor! k closely with retail staff to identify areas of energy saving. Engage retail staff and promote awareness of the other aspects of the Burberry Impact 5 year strategy (e.g. cotton).

Sustainability: Work with Sustainability Team to collect accurate energy data and monitor stores consumption.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:
2 years experience in a similar role

Event safety management / first aid experience

Contractor management experience

The ability to work with little direct supervision

Able to work occasional weekends and overnight as required by the needs of the role

IT skills in the use of the usual packages such as word, PowerPoint, excel, intranet

Good organisational & communication skills

Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or equivalent

A recognised health and safety qualification or working towards

Member of institute! of occupational safety and Health (IOSH)

You will own projects from start to finish, from conception to the delivery of manufactured goods. You will work at the main site in West London with an ambitious team, modern prototyping kit, with the advantage of seeing the finished products coming off the onsite production line.

Job Specification:
Be proactive in originating new product ideas and identifying new market opportunities. !
Use a combination of innovation, creativity and technical ! knowledge to make advances in our product that are of real value to our customers.
Be responsible for creating project briefs, communicating and agreeing the project aims with the wider company.
Make the business case for new product concepts, including tooling budgets and returns.
Champion great design to produce products that meet demanding performance and functional criteria.
Apply practical and methodical design development through prototyping and testing. Work with QA, logistics and operations staff and apply good engineering practice to ensure the products you deliver are robust.
Produce technical documentation, including technical drawings, to control production of your products in the UK or Far East.

Person Specification:
Sufficient experience to be able to design products that perform exceptionally technically.
A minimum of five years industrial experience designing manufactured products. Proven experience of delivering r! obust design solutions on time, to specification and within budget constraints.
Be able to demonstrate a creative and considered approach to problem solving, following clear design processes.
A degree in either Design Engineering or Industrial/Product Design is required.
A candidate from the engineering route will need to demonstrate that they have produced creative and successful solutions to meet product needs.
A candidate from the industrial design route will need to show that they understand working with the main manufacturing methods and the engineering methodology needed to produce high performance parts.
A combination of undergraduate and postgraduate study will be an advantage.
The ability to plan, prioritise tasks and coordinate with other teams.
Good commercial awareness with the high-level view to be able to balance cost and value.
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
The ability to communicate ideas ! through sketching.
The hands-on skill to test and demonstrate ideas! through early prototyping in the workshop.
A self starter â€" a designer who can self-educate on new projects and work independently.
A high level of skill in 3D CAD, mostly in 3D parametric top down design but also some surfacing
