The Role

Are you a proactive and experienced Field Support Analyst or Field Support services person? Are you looking for a genuine opportunity to develop your career wit! h a global business in the FMCG industry? We are seeking a ski! lled and organised senior technician to provide exceptional 2 nd level support to our EMEA business. You will support Treasury Wine Estates' (TWE) offices, sites and facilities, via phone or in person, covering all on-site computers, printers, network devices and peripherals. Whilst based in Twickenham, this is a region wide role therefore travel will be required on an ad hoc basis to our sites in Stockholm, the Netherlands, Finland, Italy and others. You will be responsible for supporting users of all levels through excellent communication, prioritising escalations from the Service Desk and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a standalone role and therefore a great opportunity to be the expert, to shine and to deliver exceptional service levels to all your stakeholders. It's also the opportunity to work with the latest systems and hardware and help the business develop its IT capability.

Key responsibilities include:
• Track and resolve end! user incidents and service requests using TWE's Service Desk ticketing system.

• Provide 2 nd line on-site support across all IT devices at site: install, move, add or change PCs, software, networking printers and telephony equipment.

• Liaise with other technical teams to resolve incidents or provision access to IT resources.

• Provide urgent support for escalations reported by the Service Desk or Service Management team

• Recommend, implement and document workarounds and resolutions to IT incidents.

• Perform periodic asset audits of IT configuration items at sites for which they are responsible

• Plan site visits to pro-actively manage site assets, deliver services, and "be the face of the Business Process & IT Team".

The Successful Applicant

• Ideally degree educated and/or equivalent IT education/work experience

• ITIL qualification preferred

• Extensive successful compu! ter support experience

• Microsoft networking experience incl! uding, DNS, WINS, TCP/IP, DHCP, SMS

• Experience with 200+ node WANS

• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and associated Microsoft technologies

• Excellent communications and customer service skills

• A strong work ethic, task management and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt rapidly to a changing environment

• Willingness to travel

• Ability to learn on the job and explore new technologies

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally on a regular basis

The Role

General Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales and support operations activities in Europe & Africa.
Manages di! rect reports in country in their activity to sell and promote ! products in this region.
Establish bookings forecast, sales strategies and sales objectives to meet or exceed the forecast.
Establish period cost budget for sales personnel and manage budget performance.
High level of general management. Responsible for P&L, bookings, forecasts, strategic sales and operational effectiveness throughout the region.
Provide leadership for regional sales team through definition of clear objectives and motivation to reach the defined sales goals with respect to existing market share, market penetration, growth and new business development.
Promote and encourage customer focus.
Playing a major role in co-operating with partners
Work with Human Resources management to ensure for personnel recruitment, competency training and succession planning for the sales team.
Provide analysis of market and competitor intelligence
Work with national oil companies to develop business

Experience/Requirements: University degree or equivalent education/experience with 10 years industry experience in a sales related role.
Able to undertake significant levels of travel
Oil & Gas experience is essential, ideally with an EPC or manufacturer of oilfield equipment.
Subsea product knowledge and understanding of new manufacturing and aftermarket business.
Comprehensive and specialized knowledge of products and marketing principles. Sound financial knowledge, able to analyze P&L statements
Proven leadership and sales skills.
Ability to build relationships with key customers, sales agents, and Joint Venture partners.
Experience of working in international locations is a plus

Genome Medicine is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Locum Editor, educated to MD or PhD level, to lead the journal’s in-house editorial team and take editorial oversight of the journal’s content. Genome Medicine publishes peer-reviewed open access research articles, as well as reviews and commentaries, which are available only to subscribers, in all areas of medicine studied from a post-genomic perspective.

Main Duties

The role of Locum Editor provides an exciting and rare opportunity for! an experienced editor to shape and develop a broad-interest m! edical journal by driving a commissioning program to obtain reviews and commentaries and by ensuring that the journal publishes high-quality research papers.

Duties include:

  • Manage the team of in-house Assistant and Senior Editors, who conduct the peer review and commission value-added content
  • Maintain clear editorial policies and strategies
  • Maintain overall oversight of decision-making on manuscripts submitted to Genome Medicine and the commissioning program of high-quality reviews and commentaries
  • Drive an advocacy program to ensure that high-quality research papers are actively solicited
  • Liaise closely with Editorial Board Members and other key members of the scientific/medical community and develop and maintain contact through conference attendance and institute visits
Person specification
Essential

  • Qualification as an MD, or a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent exp! erience
  • Extensive previous editorial experience with a biomedical journal, including manuscript decision-making, contact with editors, authors and reviewers.
  • Deep knowledge of the publishing process, publishing ethics and medical journal publishing
  • Ability to work in a team and to work cooperatively with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent critical appraisal and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills, and attention to detail
  • A positive, can-do approach to problem-solving in both daily tasks and more complex troubleshooting
