Whittington Health are seeking an enthusiastic Professional with experience of manual handling to work alongside the Backcare Advisor as part of the Backcare and Manual Handling Service which form! s part of the multi-professional Clinical Education Team. You will be required to deliver manual handling training to all levels of staff through statutory induction and mandatory refresher sessions, as well as assisting in providing specialised manual handling training to hospital or community employees. Additional areas of responsibility will include assisting the Backcare Advisor with manual handling audits, in both clinical and non-clinical areas as well as undertaking workplace assessments of employees who have reported musculoskeletal disorders.
You must have proven knowledge and experience of the principles of safer manual handling and how to apply these in a clinical environment. Training is a key component of this role and will require proven experience of teaching to professional groups.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have extensive health service experience in a related field (such as nursing, physiotherapy) and be a me! mber of your own professional body and be a registered member ! of the National Back Exchange (NBE).
