The Ultra Messaging ACE team is focused on ensuring the success of our most strategic customers. And ACE senior engineer is an expert in the deployment and architecture of Ultra Messaging products across all qualities of service and in all use cases. ACE coordinates closely â€" as needed by the customer engagement â€" with Product Management, R&D and Global Customer Support in order to ensure that the customer has the right level of support from Informatica to become and remain successful. In order to succeed in this role you must possess excellent technical aptitude, especially as related to distributed systems and network technology; excellent written and verbal communication skills; th! e ability to create and deliver technical content designed to ! educate customers and capture information from the field; and excellent customer management skills.
Responsibilities
Ultra Messaging ACE Team Senior Engineer is responsible for highly expert technical services, training and mentoring on Informatica products, which may include:
- Execute project assignments in both strategic projects and customer escalations to ensure customer success
- Manage customer interaction over an extended period of time; including attending status calls and key architecture meetings/discussions to ensure continued correct usage and successful deployment of Informatica Ultra Messaging products
- Work in both a billable consulting role in coordination with Informatica Professional Services, as well as non-billable work as coordinated with R&D and Global Customer Support management
- Providing input to Product Management in any of the business units to both address current Ultra Messaging related produc! t enhancements, evolve new capabilities for emerging customer needs, and assist with the roadmap for new products and features
- Provide Ultra Messaging services including but not limited to Architecture Reviews and Deployment Recommendations, Performance Assessments and Production Go Live Readiness Assessments
- Work with Sales Team to provide input on scope of work and skills required to assist in Statement of Work Development
- Mentor less experienced staff to assist with technical Ultra Messaging related questions/issues and provide input for future training activities
- Developing white papers, presentations, or documentation on Ultra Messaging related topics
- Develop and manage necessary training materials based upon customer engagements
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum 2+ years of consulting experience
- Able to present and address complex architectures and development is! sues
- Able to present and resolve complex project needs
- Experience supporting programmers (good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills)
- Good understanding of messaging-middleware technologies including IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV, etc
- Strong background in TCP and UDP Networking protocols
- Tuning and optimization of high-performance systems a strong plus
- Understanding of RDMA networks protocols a plus (Infiniband, iWARP, OFED, etc)
- Ability to develop sample applications for PoC purposes as required by the client
- Programming experience in C, C++, Java, or .NET a strong plus
- Multi-threaded software experience a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Job is based out of London, UK
- Should be willing to travel globally, in particular to our R&D facilities
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
