REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - UK BASED COVERING AFRICA & EUROPE (OIL & GAS EQUIPMENT / SUBSEA / DRILLING / EPC - BASED IN LONDON WITH TRAVEL TO AFRICA) £75-80K BASIC SALARY PLUS! OUTSTANDING BONUS SCHEME. The Company
Our client is major blue chip organisation with a huge global presence, nearly 30,000 employees and a multi billion dollar turnover. They are one of the biggest names in manufacturing bespoke heavy machinery, components and equipment to the subsea, surface and general oil & gas markets.
Due to major international potential our client is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to be based at their specialist engineering, sales and projects offices in London covering Africa and Europe, selling oilfield equipment worth hundreds of millions of pounds to massive multinational clients.
The Role
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales and support operations activities in Europe & Africa.
Manages di! rect reports in country in their activity to sell and promote ! products in this region.
Establish bookings forecast, sales strategies and sales objectives to meet or exceed the forecast.
Establish period cost budget for sales personnel and manage budget performance.
High level of general management. Responsible for P&L, bookings, forecasts, strategic sales and operational effectiveness throughout the region.
Provide leadership for regional sales team through definition of clear objectives and motivation to reach the defined sales goals with respect to existing market share, market penetration, growth and new business development.
Promote and encourage customer focus.
Playing a major role in co-operating with partners
Work with Human Resources management to ensure for personnel recruitment, competency training and succession planning for the sales team.
Provide analysis of market and competitor intelligence
Work with national oil companies to develop business
Experience/Requirements: University degree or equivalent education/experience with 10 years industry experience in a sales related role.
Able to undertake significant levels of travel
Oil & Gas experience is essential, ideally with an EPC or manufacturer of oilfield equipment.
Subsea product knowledge and understanding of new manufacturing and aftermarket business.
Comprehensive and specialized knowledge of products and marketing principles. Sound financial knowledge, able to analyze P&L statements
Proven leadership and sales skills.
Ability to build relationships with key customers, sales agents, and Joint Venture partners.
Experience of working in international locations is a plus
