A global food importer and distributor, with a wide range of quality products sourced from all over the world, is looking to hire a Food Buyer to join their growing team across all food categories.

The role of the Food Buyer invol! ves:

• Selection, negotiation and delivery of product ranges within assigned categories
• Continuous sourcing of new products and review of existing range to improve the product offer
• Development of categories and ranges in response to market trends
• Management of suppliers, purchase volume, spend and income.
• Continuous monitoring of sourcing and supplier performance to improve supply chain efficiencies
• Budget management within the product category
• Creation and management of successful promotional plans to drive additional volume and income

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in a retail or wholesale food buying role
• Strong commercial acumen
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Unyielding integrity and a customer centric attitude
