The Mandeville Hotel is a 4* deluxe Hotel situated in envious proximity to the shopping meccas of Bond Street , Oxford Street and! Marylebone.Current , we are looking for a Meeting and Events Sales Executive, to join our Sales Team.
The post-holder will be responsible for meeting a monthly and annual sales target by responding to all in-coming enquiries to the Conference and Events department, writing proposals, meeting clients on and off site, converting bookings and co-ordinating all details relating to the event to actively sell the conference and accommodation facilities of The Mandeville Hotel. To ensure a seamless handover of client bookings from Sales through to Operations. The post-holder will be required to be available to duty manage events. Weekly and monthly reports must be prepared, including financial reports. An element will be pro-active sales activity as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&E reactive sales
- M&E proactive sales
- M&E planning
- Issue detailed event orders for internal and external clients
- Enquiry handling for al! l the events (with or without accommodation)
- Show aro! und for Clients
- Client entertainment
- Contract negotiation
- Raising contracts and pro-forma invoices
- Receiving payments and closing master accounts in a timely manner
- Liaise with all the departments in the hotel to ensure that functions are running well
- Close cooperation with front of house and reservations department when there are accommodation attached to an event
- Meet and greet clients
- Creating events promotions and packages
- Log all events intakes on excel
- Report revenue to DOS and GM when required
- Attend weekly operations meeting and sales & marketing meeting
- Attend to fire training every 6 months
- Must have 4 star or 5 star hotel and catering experience
- Have previous proactive sales experience, Residential Conference/Events venue environment, of sufficient quality to demonstrate
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to negotiate in a professional
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English and numeracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Be computer literate, (e.g. MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience of a computerised diary/booking system required.
- Experience of and ability to present effectively to clients
- Strong organisational skills
- Well groomed and presentable
