Contributes materially to achieving the organizationâs strategic growth objectives, building organization capability for the future, and delivering long-term performance. Individu! al will lead in identifying supplier needs and applies Avnet's value proposition to drive sales growth and improved profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Enables our Go to Market organization and business strategies by providing creative solutions in the design and implementation of a supplier enablement process which includes tools for engaging current and prospective suppliers.
Partners with the Director of Sales to develop analytics and metrics framework for measuring sales effectiveness across all engaged suppliers.
Leads the portfolio governance efforts for the team ensuring the highest priority programs are resourced appropriately across the functional areas.
Analyzes key business issues and market trends to develop sales and services investment recommendations that are aligned with business objectives.
Works closely, and develops cohesive and effective partnerships, with Avnet supplierâs regional sales t! eams, regional strategy teams, corporate strategy team, market! ing teams, and product teams in order to further our business objectives.
Collaborates with key stakeholders, defines specific sales principles and behaviors that all sellers must master and demonstrate to be most effective in regards to current and future Avnet suppliers.
Identifies and prioritizes key current suppliers and assist in the recruitment and engagement of target suppliers that are strategically positioned to help build Avnetâs Government offerings.
Defines a systematic process for select suppliers in order to build exceptional relationships that differentiate Avnet across all of its Governmental markets.
Works with key suppliers, runs the process of prioritizing key investments and link to company-wide portfolio governance processes.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong business acumen, detail oriented, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, team player, results oriented, self-motivated, and innovative.
Expert strategic, analytical and conceptual consulting and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of current Government market practices and trends in supplier effectiveness, supplier coverage models, and analytics.
Ability to develop and deliver recommendations to senior management.
Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the business and strong understanding of the complexities of a multi-national Fortune 500 company.
Ability to establish and grow relationships with key supplier to achieve a common outcome.
Expert at managing multiple clients and projects.
Proficient in key sales and office automation tools: Salesforce.com, MS Office.
Work Experience:
8+ years of increasing responsibility with Governmentally focused companies in the area of go to market strategies, sales enablement, multi-channel development as well as sales and services incentive design and channel compensation is re! quired. Preferred experience with companies that have a strong emphasis! on solutions and/or services selling.
Experience with designing, implementing, and managing broad-based go-to-market programs is a plus.
Education and Certification(s):
BA or BS with major in Technology or General Business or equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required. Masterâs degree is highly desirable.
