A key role within the business development team to pursue and secure commercial and grant funded contracted delivery through the writing and coordination of tenders. Part of a team respo! nsible for driving the achievement and implementation of new business in line with the aims, objectives and values of the organisation
This role is based on 37.5 hours per week

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- A proven track record of success in competitive tender writing for high value and strategic contracts within the employment and skills or similar sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of welfare to work and government contracts for the long-term unemployed
- Current awareness of policy agenda in relation to publicly funded employment and skills provision (e.g. DWP, SFA, NOMS) and other funders in markets of potential interest to the organisation.
- Recent and relevant subject knowledge (within the employment and skills context) of one or more of the following areas: learning and skills, disability, ex-offender support, social enterprise, or cond! ition management
- An underpinning understanding of cro! ss-cutting third sector funding issues.

- Proven ability to work to agreed timescales and where required short deadlines.
- Demonstrable ability to co-ordinate and support the implementation of new contracts
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, capable of influencing at all levels and unafraid to constructively challenge.
- Able to process and analyse a broad range of data quickly and effectively.
- Able to work effectively within a team (including cross-functional and across different organisations), as well as on own initiative.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft (Word and Excel) and related software and able to quickly grasp new programmes as required.
- Excellent written communication skills, capable of drafting persuasive, informed and high quality sales narrative.
- Strong problem solving skills in developing! creative and innovative propositions in response to tender specifications.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, capable of meeting challenging deadlines.
- Demonstrably committed and resilient, flexible and innovative.
