Ensure that appropriate Coutts, WIM and RBSG policies and procedure! s are followed for all client, business and bank responsibilities.
Acting with integrity, maintaining a high standard of due skill, care and diligence in all activities
To define, drive and deliver clear business strategy and growth plans, meeting key business objectives with full consideration to product profitability and income targets, all within a robust risk framework
To deliver a range of deposit products (active, reserve and strategic cash) with particular emphasis on product specifications, product positioning, competitor products, cost containment, revenue and profitability, enhancing the Deposit proposition (including near cash) and offering attractive solutions to meet the credit needs of our clients
Work with the senior management globally within Coutts to provide technical product focus and support to business re client acquisition and growth objectives
Monitor the ongoing profitability of products. Provide ExCo with! regular updates and make strategic and tactical recommendatio! ns as required
Work with Private and Commercial Bankers to facilitate product sales
Acting as subject matter expert, provide product training and support to the Frontline, raising awareness and understanding of the proposition and new product launches
To encourage Frontline and client feedback to ensure the proposition remains relevant and meets client needs and expectations â€" logging ideas relating to new products or the development of existing products to maintain positioning, price and margins, prioritising and recommending most appropriate opportunities to relevant ExCo
To own the products within the proposition ensuring the completion of product reviews and management of follow up actions as required
Gather information regarding relevant competitor products and feed into product development process, to ensure that product initiatives are competitive with Coutts market position / brand
Establish and maintain effect! ive working relationships with the bank’s central control functions. Sharing knowledge and information to enable more effective management of risk, financial reporting and resolution of issues.
Provide input to policies and procedure manuals (including RACA framework) for each product / service. Responsibility for ensuring relevant policies and procedures are implemented and that manuals are kept up-to-date.
Ensuring adherence to all relevant FCA requirements and internal policies and procedures
Experience in Product Marketing role including product ownership and management
Business strategy development and implementation
Full suite of MS Office applications
Strong experience within banking product management and development
Demonstrable in depth knowledge of deposit products both within Coutts and in the market including a clear understanding of product profitability and cost and revenue implications
! Experience in producing marketing materials supporting banking product! s
Strong banking product knowledge
