We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Unsecured Lending Underwriter based in Central London
Responsibilities for the role of Unsecured Lendi! ng Underwriter
Based in a team of 10 full-time underwriters you will be responsible for the underwriting of new loan applications within lending criteria and service standards
Manage your own caseload
Evaluate the accuracy and authenticity of each customer’s details and references
Action additional information received on pipeline cases
Manage a portfolio of applications simultaneously
Deal with telephone enquiries and solicit additional information from applicants
Create detailed records on each case via the system
Respond to written enquiries where necessary
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fraud prevention and fraud avoidance systems
Experience required for the role of Unsecured Lending Underwriter
Previous unsecured or secured lending underwriting experience is essential for the role
Strong customer service and communication skills a must
Good organizat! ional skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
Ability to keep calm and focused in a reactive environment
Analytically minded with high attention to detail
A flexible phone manner
Salary: Up to £27,000 with 25 days annual leave
Location: Central London (closest station Tottenham Court Road and Goodge Street)
