The Procurement Policy Advisor is required to carry out Procurement policy implementations â€" ensuring relevant Cabinet Office, EU and Rail procurement regulations are incorporated in franchising competitions. Key Tasks / Deliverables Support and advise project teams in the delivery of aspects of the procurement process Ensure relevant legislation is incorporated in competitions Draft guidance notes, templates and procurement process documents for use in individual projects Manage the OJEU and pre-qualification process for one or more franchise competitions Procurement of advisors and e-systems Manage working level communication with Market and potential new suppliers MCIPS Qualification Key skills / Experiences MCIPS or equivalent procurement experience Experience of working with complex, large scale, very high-value projects Capability to both support and challenge, and taking corrective action! where necessary, including acting to promote good practice an! d proven processes between different projects. Ability to synthesis large amounts of complex information from a broad source of disciplines, identify and mange key risks and formulate robust positions Ability to manage resources appropriately to deliver the necessary objectives for the Department Strong contract management knowledge and experience Experience of working on rail / transport procurements Candidates will preferably have had experience of working in the rail sector and/or the public sector.
