My client, a licensing/publishing organisation is seeking a Data Collection Coordinator on a 12 month fixed-term contract to plan, organise and monitor the data collection exercises within the business a! nd government sectors, ensuring that they take place on budget and provide quality data on time.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, key features will include:

• Researching and planning data collection exercises by identifying licensees, organisations and departments to take part
• Developing a schedule of data collection activities and monitoring that schedule
• Ensuring the practical application of methodologies to ensure the collection of quality data
• Providing cost assessments for proposed data collection exercises and other processes as required and monitoring annual budgets and actual costs against plan
• Organising, briefing and training and answering telephone or e-mail queries from Field Officers or licensee organisations
• Preparing and updating of documentation and administrative tasks associated with each data collection exercise

The successful candidate will have:

• Pre! vious experience of monitoring projects and working accurately! to tight deadlines, including scheduling and costing
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (confident using spreadsheets and formulas)
• Excellent attention to detail
• A professional telephone manner and general attitude
• The ability to build strong working relationships with external and internal teams

A working knowledge of government structures and experience working within the publishing or an intellectual property (copyright) background would be advantageous.

Salary 24,000 and it's based in Central London.
