To develop and implement a Learning and Development strategy that will contribute to the overall on going success, growth and development of my client.
There w! ill be some key activities that will help to define this:
1. Undertake an exercise to define my clients future culture aligning it to the business strategy and as a result redefine the competency framework.
2. Develop and agree development plan for the business focussing on areas identified as priority under the following areas:
a. Regulatory
b. Leadership/Management/Supervisory
c. Core competencies
d. Technical
3. Review current process, develop and deploy an enhanced induction programme for all new joiners that covers the period from offer acceptance to end of probation.
4. Build a talent pipeline that includes
a. graduate and intern programmes
b. Work placements, experience, apprentices
c. Talent development
d. Targeted recruitment
e. Succession plans to include critical roles
5. Develop a Leadership development programme for current and future le! aders to include
a. Structured development programme ! including mentoring
b. Opportunities to learn externally
c. Overseas assignments
d. Interaction with the wider Group including project leadership
6. Develop and deploy performance management systems/ethos including robust objective setting and measurement as well as embedding the management of performance as a core leadership skill. Activity to include
a. Review of management of performance capability across our leadership population and develop development programme specifically to address this
b. Review and develop PM process introducing mandatory half year review process and self assessments and update the form set where necessary.
7. Enhance the 360 degree feedback process and embed as a bi annual cycle.
8. Develop and deliver a clear policy on professional qualifications that will address my clients appetite to support such study.
9. Evaluate the benefit of third party events (such as Lloy! ds Study Tours) and develop a process that allows suitable candidates to be fairly and appropriately selected
10. Deliver e learning system (Cornerstone) as one delivery method and specifically to address regulatory training needs such as anti money laundering.
11. Develop and manage the L&D team to assist in the delivery of key strategies and in the delivery of the core day to day activities listed below.
Skills:
Core transactional activities:
1. Conduct Training Needs Analysis: research and review training requirements for all staff from annual Performance & Development reviews and from Management committees
2. Ensure company learning and development meets regulatory/compliance requirements
3. Engage with managers in regards to Performance management and advise on training solutions as a result of the performance management cycle
4. Manage all L&TD documentation and keep up to date records ! of all staff undertaking training and professional examinations
5. Manage, maintain and develop the Companys Learning and Performance Management system
6. Manage L&TD costs and budgets for all departments: review and approve invoice, finance reconciliation
7. Support the delivery of L&TD programmes: manage delegate lists, joining instructions, logistics
8. Ensure L&TD intranet site is up to date
9. Assist teams with the planning and organisation of Away Days, team Building and Networking Events when required
10. Attend Lloyds Training Group meetings and become involved with relevant projects when required.

Experience of designing and successfully deploying a Learning and Development strategy is essential
Self confident
Able to work unsupervised
Comfortable with ambiguity
Creative and flexible
Proactive, a self starter and resilient
Detail conscious and effici! ent
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Persuasive and able to manage relationships effectively across the business
Lloyds market and/or financial services experience ideal but certainly not essential.
