Role Description
Pfizer Inc is seeking a Regional Compliance Director to join our International Investigations Team with primary responsibility for conducting and managing internal compliance investigations in the Emerging Markets Europe, India and Turkey region (“regionâ€). The position reports to the EURIT Investigations Team Lead. Location â€" one of Pfizer’s E.U. offices (e.g. London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, etc).
Responsibilities
- Overall management of the regional investigations docket;
- Conducting and managing compliance investigations in the region and working with multiple stakeholders, includin! g market and regional leadership, Government Investigations an! d other senior Legal Division colleagues, local and U.S. external legal counsel, as well as internal and external auditors, on these matters;
- Reporting ongoing market assessments, risk areas and impact on the Pfizer business locally and globally to senior leadership; influencing leaders to continue embedding compliance as a critical aspect of their organization’s culture;
- Providing guidance and partnering closely with country and regional leadership teams, Proactive Compliance leads and other stakeholders to remediate issues identified in investigations and ensure risks are appropriately assessed;
- Leading and participating in proactive compliance reviews in the region;
- Partnering with Compliance colleagues and business leaders to develop and execute strategies to ensure colleagues are aware of systems and processes for reporting and resolving compliance issues;
- Supporting the European Investigations Team Lead in managing the EU! Compliance Hotline under EU data privacy laws;
- Supporting the European Investigations Team Lead in conducting investigations within the EU on a case by case basis.
- Minimum of five years professional legal experience in the region, with a focus on white-collar criminal law, including substantial investigative experience. Knowledge of EU data privacy laws preferred.
- Experience and interest in India strongly preferred.
- Substantial experience in working in a multinational company or advising one, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team to resolve complex matters.
- Excellent judgment, influencing skills and leadership abilities in working with different stakeholders particularly with senior leadership.
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
- Willingness and abi! lity to travel 30-40% of the time throughout region, and internationall! y as needed.
- Multi-cultural experience and languages of the region preferred.
