Harefield Hospital Campus
Applications are invited for a Chair in Clinical Cardiology with immediate effect.
The post is w! ithin the National Heart and Lung Institute, Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College, and is a joint initiative with the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be based at Harefield where the hospital and Imperial College Heart Sciences Centre are co-located.
The InstituteÂ's cardiovascular research strategy focuses on two major themes: atherosclerosis and heart failure. The post will establish a research programme on heart failure and lead the development of a heart failure centre at Harefield Hospital. This site has the advantage of a very large population based around Harefield Hospital and its associated referral network including a significant population that already attends the hospital on a regular basis. The programme will focus on the prevention and management of heart failure including the management of significant clinical trials.
You will have demonstrated success and leadership of an internationally recognise! d research programme in clinical cardiology. You will demonstr! ate globally competitive research expertise, and will also have the ability to plan, lead and direct research activity of outstanding quality.
