As Support Officer at our new Roseberry Mansions Extra Care service you will have a major role to play.
This new and innovative service is growing fast. In fact it performs so well that we have taken over three extra care services in four years and there are more to come, creating far reaching and fast moving career opportunities for you and an exciting future for us both.
Right now we need to find a committed and dynamic Support Officer for our Roseberry Mansions project in the heart of King’s Cross. This brand new scheme is due to open this summer, providing 30 self-contained Extra Care flats and 10 short stay flats for older people who need varying levels of care and support on a 24/7 basis.
As the project’s Support Officer, you will:
Help to improve the quality of life of our customers, building confidence and skills to allow them to live independently and take an active role in the community
Provide s! upport services to customers through an effective support plan! ning system
Ensure that we deliver a high quality, best practice service in line with testing performance standards and strict legislation
Manage the day to day operation of all aspects of the property including H&S inspections, fire alarm testing, reporting repairs, dealing with emergencies and overseeing maintenance and security
Work in partnership with the management team and care staff
Play an active role in tenant and community engagement, facilitating social events, planning and chairing tenant meetings and liaising with housing management
You must be:
Experienced as a keyworker and have good working knowledge of H&S and Welfare & Benefits systems
Excellent administration, organisation and communication skills
Ability to use SMART goal planning to provide needs-led holistic support
A Level 3 Diploma or ability to attain CQC registered services qualifications
Knowledge and under! standing of up to date legislation, government frameworks and safeguarding children and adults requirements
Experience of working with vulnerable adults and carrying out assessments
Basic IT skills including MS Word
